The Newmarket Toastmasters
have achieved Distinguished Club status
for 2015-16.

The Newmarket Toastmasters have been striving to achieve this goal since chartering four years ago – and this year, we did it!

The DCP (Distinguished Club Program) is an annual set of goals that helps clubs to achieve education, membership and administrative objectives. Working towards attaining the various DCP goals provides valuable leadership skills for the executive.

This outstanding accomplishment would not have been possible without your enthusiasm, dedication and willingness to participate.

The Competent Communications Manual provides a series of 10 speech projects to work on through your Toastmasters journey. The projects are designed to develop your speaking skills one step at a time. Every project builds upon what you’ve learned in the preceding project.

The Competent Leadership Manual provides 10 projects focusing on different leadership skills.

The Newmarket Toastmasters were Dynamite in 2015

TNT has celebrated many achievements in 2015!

­🌟 Jean received her Competent Communication (CC) award in May 2015.

­🌟 Deanna received her Competent Leadership (CL) award in October 2015.

­🌟 Tammy (from York Region) received her Advanced Leadership Bronze (ALB) award in October 2015.

­🌟 Dawn received her Competent Leadership (CL) Award in December 2015.

­🌟 A record 11 projects from the Competent Communications manual were completed in 2015, including three Ice Breakers.

🌟­ We welcomed four new Members: Erika, Scott, Janet, and Julie (YRP)

🌟­ Tania competed at the 2015 Area 14 Table Topics Competition, placed 1st and represented the club at the Division level.

🌟­ Teena made TNT history in 2015, a contest hat-trick by placing 1st in TNT’s International Speech, Humourous Speech, and Table Topics Competitions!
