The Newmarket Toastmasters Inspirational Speeches- Thursday, Feb 26/15

The Newmarket Toastmasters Inspirational Speeches – Thursday, February 26, 2015

Today we enjoyed two Inspirational speeches. The first was presented by Tammy Hall, a York Region employee. Tammy’s speech was titled To Dream or Not To Dream. Her speech was about her challenging journey to motherhood and never giving up. Serenity her daughter, is her shining star. Tammy’s advanced speech project objective was to evoke emotion in the audience. Which she certainly did, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house!

The second speech presented by Teena Cutt was titled The Round Robin. Teena spoke about coming into possession of over 100 letters her late mother-in-law had written, and how those letters gave Teena and her children a chance to get to know a most incredible woman. Teena’s speech project objective was to use vocal variety. This was accomplished by using expressive, vivid language, voice pitch, and pauses.

Thank you to the Guests and members that attended the meeting!
